Tanya and David - a colourful city wedding in the heart of jesmond

'We were absolutely over the moon, not just with your work but with you as well. We were both so glad we found you to shoot our big day! You're a lovely person who fitted in perfectly on the day and every one of our guests commented on what a nice person you are and we've also have had lots of comments on how amazing our wedding photos are.

Thank you so much, we will 100% be recommending you to our friends for future weddings we honestly don't think they could find any better in the area xx' - Tanya & David

When I got a message from Tanya asking if I was free at the weekend and able to shoot her wedding to David with three days notice, I think I said 'If you're game then I am!'.

After months of planning ahead and carefully organising everything, Tanya and David were another couple whose plans fell victim to 2020's curse of Covid. With new restrictions on the very near horizon, their venue kindly contacted them asking if they wanted to squeeze their wedding in at the weekend to allow for more guests. I'm not sure how they managed but they completely smashed it... What followed was an amazing, personal, family-centered affair, complete with all the colourful and heartfelt touches that these two had hoped for.

Tanya and David's wedding was proof that going through with your Covid micro-wedding is more than worth it. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Tanya kept remarking how perfect it had been and how happy she was (just look at the photos!).

The ceremony and reception took place at the Holiday Inn, Jesmond, right in the middle of my stomping ground, which was an added bonus as I could show T&D some of my favourite hidden locations for their portraits (and have a glass of Prosecco at the reception before walking home). I also couldn't get over how amazing Tanya's hair looked against all the greenery...
